The Shelly Beach dive site has a north facing aspect and is sheltered from ocean currents and swell, has a very easy entry and exit from the gently sloping sandy beach. This makes Manly shore dives great for both certified and first-time divers who wish to do a discover scuba dive, or DSD, with one of our dive instructors or dive masters. We recommend certified divers who haven’t dived in over 1 year do a refresher course, which is also done at Shelly Beach. From modern changing rooms and newly updated toilet facilities, to big benches specifically designed and installed for divers to kit up in comfort, Manly’s Shelly beach dive site offers scuba divers everything they need for a great start and finish to your guided shore dive.
