With over 40 years experience operating commercial dive charter boats. The owner and operator of Sydney Dive Charters saw the opportunity to start a new dive charter business. He commissioned the construction of a purpose built charter boat that would provide safe, comfortable and fun boat diving, whale watching and harbour cruise services. Sydney Dive Charters boat operates dives to an extensive variety of dive sites, selected for the best diving on the day for all levels of qualifications and experience.

About Sydney Dive Charters
Sydney Dive Charters is a boat charter service operated in Sydney, NSW. Our new purpose built charter boat operates daily scheduled boat dives, during the Sydney whale season we offer free whale watching trips during our double boat dives. The vessel is also available for fishing or harbour and private dive charters including New Years Eve fireworks spectacular.
About The Operator
Jason is the owner and operator of Sydney Dive Charters. He has been snorkelling, diving and fishing off Sydney since 1975. He was introduced to diving by his father who trained him in diving before he was old enough to obtain his first PADI open water certificate.
He has worked in the dive industry and operated dive charter vessels in Sydney since 1983. His boating and diving experience also includes working interstate and overseas on daily service and live aboard dive and fishing charter vessels.
He holds a Master Class 4 and Marine Engine Driver Class 1 certificates and has obtained a Local Knowledge or Pilots certificate for Sydney and Pittwater Harbours.
About Our Charter Boat
Our purpose built charter boat was delivered in 2013, constructed by the Australian company, Kevlacat which construct’s top of the range, high quality marine vessels for commercial use. This comfortable, fast and stable catamaran is in 2C survey and is surveyed for 10 passengers + 2 crew. Sydney Dive Charters operate’s charters from Sydney Harbour, Careel Bay, Pittwater, Port Hacking and from Port Kembla to the seal colony located in the Five Islands National Park.

About Sydney Dive Charters Dive Experience
The boats Master and crew are all qualified Instructors and/or Dive Master’s and are professional members of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) or GUE, TDI or SSI.
Jason has many dive certificates from PADI including his Divemaster & Assistant Instructor, he also has several technical qualifications Global Underwater Explorers (GUE). He has logged in excess of 11,500 dives and dives around 6-10 times every week. In 2019, Jason was recognised by PADI for 30 years of professional service to the dive industry.
About Hire Gear
Sydney Dive Charters believes our clients deserves the best diving experience and this includes diving in the best dive equipment money can buy. All our hire equipment is new the best quality, top of the range recreational Scubapro equipment, which includes the very best Mk25/ S600 regulators, 40lb “wing” type BCD’s with integrated weight systems, 7mm wetsuits, booties, hoods, masks, weights and torches. We also have the full range of technical diving hire gear in Scubapro and Halcyon equipment, with steel Faber twin tanks and aluminium stage tank kits and reg sets. We also have underwater scooters for hire. All this hire gear once hire will be setup and waiting for you on your arrival. About Local Knowledge
With over 40 years of local knowledge diving and operating in Sydney Harbour and its offshore dive sites Sydney Dive Charters does provide their customers a unique dive charter experience. We can and do change our sites daily due to weather and sea conditions but as we know almost every inch of Sydney’s underwater environment we can maximise our clients experience by not only getting you into the best dive site on the day but being able to give a very comprehensive dive briefing of what you will see, where to find it and what depth range is the best.
We regularly explore Sydney’s almost limitless deeper offshore reefs for new dive sites. Jason is always happy to discuss operating special charter’s to different dive sites or locations throughout NSW or interstate.
I had an awesome couple of dives on the Ex-HMAS Adelaide for my 100th dive. It was an amazing experience thanks to Jason's excellent boat and service, his detailed briefing really helped me navigate the ship wreck.
