A beautiful reef dive outside the Heads
On this dive, you’ll find many stunning soft corals and sponges. At the base of the corals, you’ll see many large common seahorses. Divers are encouraged to bring a torch/underwater light or video light (or rent one from us) to properly see the colours due as they’ll fade with increases in depth.
Plenty of fish on view on this Sydney dive
This dive spot features a great variety of Sydney marine life including groupers, whiting, red morwong, yellowtail (also known as yakka’s).
We’ll anchor on the reef’s edge to aid with navigation. The dive can be uni-directional with boat pickup assisted by a surface marker buoy. The reef has three distinct rock ledges; steps of around 2m in width with a plethora of sea life to be visit at each step.
Boulders and swim throughs on this dive
In the shallower depths of this dive, you’ll encounter small boulder fields. There will be plenty of fish at around 22m in depth, but less life covering the rocks. Divers will enjoy a total of six swim throughs featuring schools of large whiting and yellowtail.
